Nava Telangana Party (NTPP) was a political party in Andhra Pradesh, India. The party was founded by Tulla Devender Goud to achieve separate statehood for Telangana. According to the party the people of Telangana were being treated as second class citizens, due to lack of drinking water for in spite of having two major rivers (Krishna and Godavari) flowing in the region. NTPP intended to contest the 2009 Andhra Pradesh assembly election in all constituencies of the Telangana districts (Hyderabad, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Adilabad, RR, Karimnagar, Warangal, and Medak) together with like-minded parties with the objective of creating a separate Telangana state.〔(New party floated to fight for Telangana state )〕 == Birth of NTP == Devender Goud announced the new party (NTPP) on July 11, 2008 in Hyderabad, along with flag, and its symbol.〔(Devender Goud launches new party )〕
